All Dashing Diva nail salons in the U.S. and abroad now use the eco-friendly Accel Surface Cleaner and Disinfectant. Robert Cleary, director of product development and operations for Dashing Diva, says Accel meets Dashing Diva's high standards for sanitation. Accel, which is made by Virox Technologies, has previously been used on cruise ships to battle E-coli and was sent to the Asia-Pacific region to control the SARS epidemic. According to Cleary, "While we are always looking for ways to improve the cleanliness of our stores, we feel it is just as important that we do it in an environmentally safe manner. Accel was the perfect choice."

Kerstin Florian's organic and paraben-free products are now being used in most of Kimpton's 42 hotels across the country. This change is part of Kimpton's EarthCare program, which has every hotel adopt standard environmentally friendly products and practices. The hotel's Mind.Body.Spa program features in-room spa treatments that can be booked online. During the month of July, $5 from every spa treatment performed was donated to Kimpton's environmental partner The Trust for Public Land, which aids in creating parks, gardens, and other natural spaces across America.
